Read the following information and answer the questions.
All employees who will be promoted by the company will receive higher salaries. Some of the employees who will be promoted by the company are highly skilled, others are merely competent, and still others are bunglers.
If the statements above are true, which of the following statements must also be true?
Statement: যে সকল Employee promotion পায়,
তারা Higher salary পায়। আবার ঐ সকল Employee দের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ Highly skilled, আর কেউ কেউ অল্প Competent বা যোগ্য এবং বাকিগুলো আনাড়ি।
Question: এখন উপরের Statement সত্য হলে জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে যে, অপশনের কোনটি অবশ্যই সত্য হবে।
a) তে আছে, যারা Promotion পায়, তাদের কেউ কেউ Higher salary পায় না। এটি সত্য নয়, কারণ Statement এর শুরুতেই বলা হয়েছে যে সকল Employee promotion পায়, তারা Higher salary পায়।
b) তে আছে যারা Promotion পায় না, তাদের কেউ কেউ Higher salary পায়। এটিও সত্য নয়। কারণ Promotion না পেলে Higher salary কে পাবে?
c) তে বলা হচ্ছে যে, Highly skilled and bungler উভয়ই Higher salary পায়। এটি সঠিক উত্তর।
d) তে বলা হলো, যারা Higher salary পায় তাদের Promotion দেয়া হবে। এটি সত্য হতে পারে না। তাই সঠিক উত্তর হলো c) তে।

অন্যদিকে ইংরেজি সাহিত্য (English Literature) বলতে মূলত ইংরেজি ভাষায় রচিত বিভিন্ন যুগের সাহিত্যকর্মকে (কবিতানাটকউপন্যাসপ্রবন্ধ) বোঝায়যার সূচনা ৮ম-১১শ শতাব্দীতে ‘বিউলফ’ (Beowulf) নামক মহাকাব্যের মাধ্যমে । জিওফ্রে চসারকে ইংরেজি সাহিত্যের জনক বলা হয় । বিভিন্ন সাহিত্য যুগের (যেমন: রেনেসাঁরোমান্টিকভিক্টোরিয়ান) মাধ্যমে এটি বিবর্তিত হয়ে বর্তমান রূপ পেয়েছে ।
